Welcome to Men Transforming Men Australia

  • MTM Australia is a non-profit organisation created to help and empower the men and families of Australia and beyond.
  • The Taringa Community Centre was set up to help men and their families with counselling, mentoring and spiritual direction
  • Relationship breakdown, job losses, and a lack of purpose and identity among males is having a severe impact on society.
  • We believe if you help the man you help his family.
  • Last year we helped over 600 men in our local area alone.

"ATTENTION MEN!"

MROP 19 - 23 August 2008

MROP (Men's Rites of Passage) 2008 at Camp Somerset has almost arrived. If you have been thinking about applying to participate in the Rites please don't delay and send in your application as soon as possible. Download the application form here

The Program is a five-day/ four night deeply prayerful and soulful experience that builds on the classic patterns of male initiation through simple and moving rituals and teaching. Each day includes group prayer, major teaching on central masculine spirituality themes, quiet time for reflection, and sharing in the context of a “small group".

“Men are asked to come with a willingness

to participate from beginning to end and

not as an observer. All participants begin at

point zero with no agendas to live up to or

down to. All that is required is for a man to

come with a ‘beginners mind’ and the

readiness of a young novice seeking

wisdom. Ultimately, initiation, like itself, is

not a spectator’s sport”.

Richard Rohr  Program Founder
