MROP CAMP AUG 2008

The Program is a five-day/ four night deeply prayerful and soulful experience that builds on the classic patterns of male initiation through simple and moving rituals and teaching. Each day includes group prayer, major teaching on central masculine spirituality themes, quiet time for reflection, and sharing in the context of a “small group".

“Men are asked to come with a willingness

to participate from beginning to end and

not as an observer. All participants begin at

point zero with no agendas to live up to or

down to. All that is required is for a man to

come with a ‘beginners mind’ and the

readiness of a young novice seeking

wisdom. Ultimately, initiation, like itself, is

not a spectator’s sport”.

Richard Rohr  Program Founder

Dates: 19 - 23 August 2008

Cost:   $595 Australian Dollars, please register early!

Vision

We reclaim the spiritual initiation of men through experiencial journeying into the True Self, creating a tradition for future generations.

  • Mission- we commit to:-
  •    Directing men in lifelong spiritual learning
  • Training men to be Elders
  • Maintaining ongoing relationships with program participants
  • Providing Men's Rites of Passage
  • Providing additional rites as needed

Philosophy-we believe:-

  • Every man is a beloved Son of God
  • Men are capable of serious spiritual journeys.
  • Our message is grounded in the the great Christain Paschal Mystery.
  • Men must seek to improve their conscious contact with God through prayer and comtemplation.
  • Men must have affirmation and guidance form wise mentors.
  • Men have a need and responsiblity to mentor future generations.
  • In a universal message of love and faith that transends the boundaries of race, nation, culture, gender, economic class, politics and religious differences.
  • Men must seek honest mutuality in relationships with women in thought, word and deed.
  • Men must recognise and critique their own power with regard to women, minorities and the poor, and use their power for justice in the world.
  • There is a need to colaborate with like minded groups.
